On 1 April 2014, the Riyadh’s Specialized Criminal Court sentenced the Shiite detainee 'Sayyid Majid al-Noseif', 25 years, from Al-Awamiyah town in Qatif to 17-year in prison, a fin 100 thousand SR and confiscating his car.
Al-Noseif was arrested on December 2012 for his participation in a peaceful protest .
